Quick Scroll Directions

Two ways to quickly scroll lists are described below. The first method works for both the Lake Name list and School District list on the MLS system.

Method One

1. Locate the vertical scroll bar on the right side of the list. The scroll bar is boxed in red below.

2. Position your mouse pointer on the gray slider box located just below the Up Arrow. The mouse pointer is in the correct position below.

3.  Hold the left mouse button down and drag the box straight down toward the the Down Arrow at the bottom of the bar. You control the scroll speed. The list scrolls at the same rate you pull the slider box down the scroll bar, quickly or slowly. The first example shows the slider box at the top, displaying the top of the list. The second example shows the slider box 1/3 down the bar. Notice the school district names displayed have changed on the second screen. (Practice using the scroll bar currently displaying on the right edge of your monitor.)

Method Two

The second method, outlined below, only works in Body of Water (Lake Name) list.

1. Click anywhere in the Body of Water entry field.

     Body of Water

2. This opens the drop down selection. Do not move your mouse. The "trick" is to leave your mouse within the entry field list.

3.  Press the first letter of the lake you want to locate. You won't see the letter appear anywhere, but the first lake name beginning with the the letter you type highlights at the bottom of the list. We pressed the letter "S" which highlighted the first lake starting with "S" on the lake name list, displayed below. Use the scroll bar to locate other lakes beginning with "S".
